Contracting Officiant Services

When Booking You Agree To The Following Terms & Conditions:

MARRIAGE LICENSE :

Client understands that it is the client's responsibility to acquire a valid marriage license from the State of Louisiana Clerk of Court and the marriage license must be on the premises when the ceremony is performed.  Client understands that failure to have these legal documents means that the wedding officiant cannot legally perform the ceremony and is under no obligation to do so.  The officiant may at his/her discretion perform a symbolic ceremony, which will have no legal merit, and perform another ceremony in private for the couple once the legal documents are presented, for an additional fee.  Client will consult with the local court or city clerk to find the exact requirements for the client's area.

CANCELLATION and REFUND:

The agreement of the officiant to perform the ceremony is subject to proven detention by accidents, riots, strikes, epidemics, acts of God, or any other legitimate conditions beyond their control. If such circumstances arise, all reasonable efforts will be made by the officiant to find a replacement. Should the officiant be unable to secure a replacement to perform the ceremony, client shall receive a full refund. Client agrees that in all circumstances, officiant liability shall be exclusively limited to an amount equal to the performance fee and that officiant shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from any breach of contract.

All deposits are nonrefundable unless the officiant cancels the wedding.

ADDITIONAL TERMS:

If the ceremony includes a sand ceremony, unity candle, or any other special feature, the client is responsible for furnishing all equipment needed.

If the client wishes to have the officiant attend the rehearsal, an additional fee will apply if the appropriate package was not selected at booking.

Officiant agrees to arrive at the wedding location listed on the contract at the agreed time-typically 15 minutes prior.  Client understands that they must adhere to these times but officiant does understand weddings do not always go as planned and will accommodate for weddings that start later than scheduled, as time permits.  Officiant will allow for a 1.25 hour block of time per wedding to give plenty of time for unexpected delays.

All balances must be paid within 5 business days of wedding or in cash the day of, prior to start of ceremony.

Packages include travel to your venue within a 20 mile radius of officiant office address as indicated in google maps.  Further travel requires additional charge.

Officiant reserves the right to refuse any service that she is not comfortable performing, at which time a partial refund may be made to the couple.
